Track of the Day: 'What A Guy' (Brain Cooked Remix) - Bruno Kauffmann

Sticking with Mr. Devoe's selections from this weeks guest mix for the track of the day. Bruno Kauffmann is the man behind this Brain Cooked remix of 'What A Guy' for Pacha Recordings. A strong full-toned techno roller, loaded with tons of subtle nuances. Kauffmann gradually takes you on a journey as the track ebbs and flows along with its booming bass lines and melodies. I actually had two versions of this track to choose from Devoe's mix. Posted below you can check out the original which has more of a driving feel to it. Pumping along with heavy bass it almost has a hard house feel to it. Like if some of those Tidy Tracks from the late '90s got slowed down to about 126bpm instead of 142. Definitely a late night banger.I was unfamiliar with Bruno Kauffmann before writing this. After doing a little bit of homework and perusing his SoundCloud I have come to find out that he has been making moves on the dance floor for quite sometime. Starting his career in the early 80's in Paris he he has over the years held down a number of residencies and literally has more releases than I can count. They cover a wide variety of styles but mostly its just really fantastic, pumping, floor filling house music.
