Track of the Day: Desire feat. Daniel Wilde (Olivier Giacomotto Remix) - Coyu
Almost passed it off to MR PUZL today. Had a bit too much fun last night with the Free Grilled Cheese gang. Great lineup featuring the birthday boy Astronomar along with CRNKN and Peking Duck as well as many others. Really fun night. Man I could go for another Bananna Lunoe, or A$ap Broccoli right now.As I was in the car on the way home, I was listening to Devoe's guest mix for us. Trying to decide which track to put up. As soon as this track came in I was like this is the one. Shouldn't really come as surprise if you follow us regularly. Looking back at our history we have shared many a track from the Suara label. Yet to be featured though is one from the "Big Cat" himself Coyu. Granted the remix is from Oliver Giacomotto. A fine remix that is filled with thundering base and mesmerizing synths combined with with the main vocal. All of this is delicately woven together with the chopped up samples from Coyu's original and a multitude of sweeps and rises that provide the track with an abundance of atmosphere. I don't know about magic goblin caves but this track definitely takes you on a journey from start to finish. If you are unfamiliar with Suara Records and you are into house, tech house, techno and those sorts of things, then may I strongly recommend you familiarize yourself. Started out of Barcelona around 2008 by Coyu it has in a very short time become one of the most respected labels in all of house music. Easily one of my top 3 go to labels when it comes to quality of music. It is an easy label to recognize as well. Known for being somewhat of a Cat lover all of the Suara album covers feature some sort of cat. Usually a regal head shot of all different types of house cats. Its actually quite clever and is basically a beacon for good music. See a cat on an album cover equals buy cause you know its going to be good. While I have not yet had the chance to see him perform live I know he has visited Los Angeles before and hope to catch him here in the near future. For now check out some more of his stuff above. Also you can here today track in Mr. Devoe's Guest mix for us which is also below.
