Track of the Day: 'The Promise' - The Golden Boy

It has been a fun week here in the Studio reviewing tracks from DWYR's Guest mix. Not sure we have had a week of reviews in which each track was free and downloadable. I am now though. Finishing things off this week is an artist we have been giving a fair amount of love to lately and for very good reason, The Golden Boy (TBG). If you have been paying close attention you may have even noticed we threw it in as an extra tidbit in one of our previous reviews on TGB. 'The Promise' kicks of with some lofty percussive elements that that permeate through an absolutely massive baseline, woven together with a haunting and gorgeous vocal over a classic house beat.Garnering massive support from the godfather of house Pete Tong 'The Promise' has also received the remix treatment from two other big names in the industry Walker & Royce as well Tommy Vercetti.
