Track of the Day: 'Night Clubbing' (Marko Nastic Remix) - Johnny D.

IT was an incredible weekend here in Los Angeles. Beautiful weather coupled with an absolutely insane musical line up. Getting our August off to a great start. I thought I would start the week off with a track from one of the amazing producers and DJ's who I got to play alongside at the Kanegra Beach Festival last summer about this time of year, Marko Nastic. 'Night Clubbing' was originally produced by Johnny D. and this version I have for you today is remixed by Marko Nastic. A perfect slow rolling beat that epitomizes the style of deep melodic techno that drives the Balkan clubbers to keep dancing long past the sunrise. Filled with interesting little quirks, pads and crunchy synths that give the track an otherworldy vibe. I couldn't find the track on Soundcloud so if you want to pick it up you can down below.Marko Nastic is someone who's career I have been following for quite sometime. I was first introduced to him back around 2006-2007 when I was living with my Croatian Brate's Stephan and Matija. They introduced me to a number of amazing producers from Balkan Region. Miss Sunshine who we just featured, Dejan Milicevic who I hope to do a write up on soon, and today's focus Marko Nastic. I remember whenStephan and Matija came over to the US to live with me they brought a CD case full of tracks that their buddy and former Track of the Day featured artist DJ Unique had put together for them. It was full of all of the best music that was coming out of the techno scene in Europe at the time. There were a few from Marko in there, one of which was titled 'Easter Happiness'. A gritty driving techno masterpiece that I will still use in my sets from time to time and watch the people dancing have their heads explode. Marko has been labeled as one of the best producer/dj's to come from the region and is recognized the world over. Playing all the best clubs and festivals Europe has to offer he is quite the talent. I love his spirit and energy when he is on the decks. Watching him bring the sun up over the Adriatic to about 2000 people at Kanegra was an unforgettable experience.
