Track of the Day: 'MS002' - Miss Sunshine

I decided to break away from the mold today with your track selection. Instead of choosing a track from the weekly mix, I chose a track from another amazing musician I met while out in Croatia last summer, Miss Sunshine. Ive been seeing all of these awesome pics from a buddy of mine who is there for Yacht Week and have been reminiscing on the Kanegra Beach Festival from last summer hard core. Wish I was back there. Hopefully soon. Anyway I digress.'MSOO2' is one of Miss Sunshine's' newer releases which was released last month on Kaputt. Another Berlin based techno label. Yeah Ive been on a bit of a kick with that Berlin Techno lately. Its a late night roller with a booming kick and tightly woven percussive elements mixed together with some bright stabs echoing through to give it that extra punch. Couldn't find a Soundcloud link for it but there is this "MSOO' release from Kaput which I can only assume is the precursor to today's trackCroatia is where she calls home and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend a few days with her while we were at the festival. It was great to get to talk to her and hear about her experiences as a touring artist. She is a total sweetheart in her daily life and a complete bad ass on the decks. Miss Sunshine is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to bringing energy to the dance floor. Which should come as no surprise. I had the opportunity to see her perform up close and personal at last years Kanegra Beach Festival and was blown away. One of her many stops on her busy touring schedule throughout Europe last year which included two of the biggest festivals Europe sees each year, Tomorrowland and Dimensions. She has been mastering the decks throughout most of Europe and other parts of the world since her career began back in the late 90's.
