Matador returns to center stage of the techno scene with a fervent EP and our favorite track off, hands down is 'Vagenda'. There may be a slight bias towards this track in particular as we were very fortunate to have been able to see this maestro of techno perform this past Saturday at Minimal Effort. Most likely a combination of his excellent DJing skills and that his command of the crowd (but also credit due to the track itself), this track set the room off. Those beautifully worked bass lines really can shake your bones to the core, and they're helped along by an array of awesome percussion arrangements and qwerky blips and strung out synth notes.His latest release 'Play with me!' is of epic proportions. A 10 track drop that feels more like a proper album push in it's scale and overall soundscape. The first 5 tracks were recently released on Techno standard Minus that included the self titled single as well as a nod to the old school trance/techno sounds of the 90s in 'Almost Famous'.
