Track of the Day: Kevin Over - Blackplant
Kevin Over - Blackplant
Dance till the sunrise with Kevin Over's entrancing vibes on 'Blackplant', a deep house groove with cruise control beats. The track opens up with a a nice soft kick and shaker combo with a silky smooth synth pad running underneath it. It gradually builds into some nice percussion variations and high end stab loop rising to a soft crescendo before diving back into those deliciously deep bassline grooves. There's a lot of meditative emotion pouring out of this tune during the main breakdown. This portion of the track envelopes your senses into a distilled sense of reality with pleasurable sonic riffs that elevate a state of peaceful consciousness. The vocal sample ties everything nicely together as it guides you on a journey with it's calming tone.If you're digging this track definitely check out the full EP release 'Touch' below:Kevin Over is a man on a mission with youth at his side, releasing an arsenal of tracks over his short professional career. Picking up the decks at the early age of fourteen, we can see that his knowledge of sound design has benefited greatly from his exploration into a variety of sets he has performed over time. His debut on Noir in 2012 with a remix for DJ Le Ro (which charted in the Beatport Top 100 for 5 weeks) began a steady ascent into underground ranks garnering requests from the likes of Kolombo and Moston & Malente among others. Releases on Get Physical, No Brainer, and House of Jeudi confirm an already well known fact... this dude is one to watch for this year.Highly recommend diving into more of his music:Listen to this and other tracks reviewed from this week on Jacob Millar's latest guest mix for us!Enjoy,MR PUZL
