Track of the Day: James Curd - I Wanna Freak feat. Likatso

James Curd slides into the LAMP track of the day with his latest release out now on Play It Down Records. Curd joins forces again with Likatso to bring you a tune that I challenge you to keep from moving your body when you listen to it. This is also my first real exposure to James Curd and the Chicago based producer has got me hooked. Having been involved in music since the age of 15 he has gone to form more than one band and had several full length albums released as a result. In addition his solo works are quite impressive including releases with Exploited, Repopulate Mars, Tsuba, Classic and many more along with the works he has had used in television and other mediums. You can really hear Curd's Chicago roots coming out in "I Wanna Freak". It has an infectious bass line and Likatso lends his perfect voice to a sexy groove that has a ton of swing to it and just gets the body moving. It says a lot about a track when two masters get their hands on your track and offer up remixes with out even being asked. Not sure if there are Soundcloud links for them but there are two incredible remixes from Pezzner and Claude Von Stroke included in the EP as well.
