Track of the Day: Point Sole - Argon
Track of the Day: Point Sole - Argon
Found another one on Sincopat who sort of slipped through the cracks on me. Point Sole is a producer out of Barcelona who has been pumping out some pretty killer tunes since the project began back in 2011. A producer who was born out of passion and love for the music turning a hobby into a profession. He has been pretty busy as of late with this new EP Ages for Sincopat, an EP for Baumhuas, a single just out on Suaras Beauty Imperfection Vol.3 and Stereo Productions, and the second release for Uner's new label Solar Distance. I'd say that constitutes as a pretty solid year of releases in my opinion. "Ages" consists of 3 new originals and a pretty solid remix of the title track coming in from Martinet. For our track of the day I chose to go with "Argon". Being the science nerd that I am I figured a song named after one of my favorite elements (#18 on the periodic table if your curious) in the universe had to be pretty great and Point Sole did not disappoint. While Argon gas tends to glow a nice bright violet when charged, Point Sole gives "Argon" a new meaning with this track taking us to a much darker place. The track starts of with an almost tribal groove with a healthy dose of sub bass rolling through pumping along with the clap. About 2 minutes in he introduces a very august double horn blast that carries through out most of the rest of the track and becomes the main theme of the song along with the juicy tuba bass line that accompanies it. I wouldn't really call it a drop but after the main bridge Point Sole moves into this even juicier synth line that has a whole lot of that 90's acid feel to it but doest quite go full acid, if you know what I mean. Eventually the track settles back into its main groove and finishes out. I had a funny picture cross my mind while listening to the track. I got to imagining a parade of Elephants marching through a major metropolitan city in Europe looking all regal with elaborate coverings and decorations. It is quite the spectacle as there are hundreds of them. All is going great until about the bridge of the song when a giant thunderstorm builds and hits sending the elephants into chaos. They eventually come back to order but not before tearing up the city. No one gets hurt but still its quite a scene haha! Anyway I got a little off track there. Make sure you check out the rest of the EP below along with some other stuff from Point Sole. Going to be keeping a closer eye on him for sure.
