Next week I am excited to be heading down to play at an amazing new boutique festival on the beaches of Ensenada Mexico. Only a couple of years old Genius Loci has quickly gained recognition as one of the top festivals to check out this year not counting all of the big stuff like EDC, Coachella and all those. The line up this year is full of amazing talents from Southern California and beyond, from Beetles to Unicorns as well as the Desert Hearts Crew with headliners Poolside and Gigamesh. We are set for some amazing weather this weekend here in So Cal, so I also wanted to give you something to get you inspired to get outside and have some fun this weekend. A few months back Gigamesh put this extremely groovy ass tune up for free on his SoundCloud page. Caroline Smith has a voice a smooth as silk to go along with the funky synths and guitar riffs which are set off in a full on disco battle.It is about time we had this regular visitor to Los Angeles featured here on LAMP. Unless you don't like to have fun you have probably heard of Gigamesh. Known for disco and funk laden remixes and Originals he has been cruising around sharing his Country Club Disco style beats for several years now. On top of being an amazing and extremely talented producer, the dude knows how to bring the party too! I had the pleasure of playing on a boat with him once here in Long Beach and have heard of his many epic adventures in Chicago and most recently his U.S. Open tour that he just finished up with Solodisco. In addition to the growing number of originals he is working on, his list of remixes is equally impressive. Many of which you can still download for free so if your feeling like your collection is a little light here are a few more you can add to it.Last but certainly not least for your weekend listening make sure you go get that LAMP Weekly Mix from Lopezhouse.
