Get ready to go on a journey with our track of the day from Unique(Cro). As you may be wondering the (Cro) is short for Croatia. I woke up this morning to this in my inbox and threw it on. This remix of 'Neverin' from Bonaca is a bit of a departure from some of Unique's other productions which take on more of a tech house vibe. He has gotten a bit of the Techno bug again as of late. The instant I heard the gritty saw-tooth synth at the beginning of the track I was hooked. A thumping kick along with powerful bass lines guide the track through out. There are all kinds of things coming at you from left and right, big deep synths, echoing claps, and huge sweeps to keep the mix and the groove extremely vibrant. It does a great job of keeping the listener intrigued with how fluid it is and constantly changing. The arrangement feels like an epic journey from start to finish. I feel like I just went to Mars and back in like 7 and a half minutes.My long time friend from Croatia Unique has been working his tail off since I ever met him. When ever he is not giving tennis lessons he is always firmly planted to the ground supremely focused on the music he is making and how to make it better. When I first met him in 2009 he had been DJing and working on producing for a little while. How long exactly I cant remember but our wonderful and mutual friends the Maric Brothers who I lived with here in LA 2006/2007 were always hyping him up. He has an extremely vast knowledge of house music and over the last few years he has really made a solid name for himself.I have had the pleasure of watching him first hand and can attest to his ability behind the decks as well. He is meticulous in almost everything that he does and it comes out in his performances and productions. He is constantly sought after all over in Europe, especially in Spain, Ibiza, as well as in and around his native Croatia. Which by the way is quickly surpassing just about every other country in Europe when it comes to summer parties and festivals. His music is also gaining much more attention the last few years as well. Releases on a variety of labels including Toolroom, 1606, and KD music have been receiving support from artists like Umek, Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Mark Knight, Paco Osuna, Carlo Lio and Marco Bailey. We'll work on getting him over here for you and maybe a guest mix in the future as well. Techno and Tech-House are his game go check him out and support his music if your down.
