Track of the Day: Cristoph - EyeSpy

Happy Friday to all of you. Not sure why, (maybe it is because I am opening up for Guy J tomorrow with my homie Mr PUZL) but I woke up in a really good mood today. Picked this track out this morning from my latest digging session yesterday. I swear Viva Music is on fire lately. They're pretty much always on fire but lately more so than most. Cristoph brings the latest release from the label consisting of 3 extremely well produced dance tunes. The one that I found myself most attached to is our track of the day 'EyeSpy'. Sitting here listening to this track on repeat as I usually do when I write these and I could see myself sitting here all day. That is how infectious this tune is. The track starts out by blasting you're entire body with bass. The kick is a massive and driving force that rarely ducks out but when it does you can feel the huge empty space it leaves behind building the anticipation for its return. Cristoph takes you on an adventure with the groove he builds and all of the different percussive elements intricately weaved into the arrangement. The obvious main attraction though is the arpeggiated synth that slowly creeps its way in at the beginning and dominates the scene for most of the track. If that booming bass doesn't draw you in the synth lead certainly will.It has been quite some time since we have talked about Cristoph. Almost a year and a half ago was when I wrote up a track of his he did for Kitt Ball Records which found its way into our 50th Weekly Mix (That feels like decades ago to be honest). He continues to be on a path that allows for him to continuously release incredible tracks. The one above is from a recent release for TrueSoul Records that Mr PUZL turned me onto. He has an incredible resume of releases that includes Suara, Knee Deep In Sound, Noir, and Defected to name some favorites. He has a list of others that extends quite far as well. Recently coming off tour in Australia and soon heading to South America his musical talents are in demand across the globe and someone who I have great admiration and respect for as a producer. One of the best in the world in my opinion. Judge for yourself. I posted a few others from him down below and his SoundCloud page is stocked full of tunes going back several years. Plenty of Free Downloads as well.We are happy to have Washinton DC based Julius Jetson with us this week for our weekly mix. He brings you a healthy dose of G-House to get youre weekend party kicked off just right.Speaking of the weekend tomorrow we are excited and honored to be presenting Guy J in Los Angeles this Saturday June 4th along with Expand Events and Pure Grooves Sound Systems. Early Bird Tickets are Sold out and Tier 1 is almost gone too. Hit the flyer below for tickets and info.guy_fb2
