Track of the Day: Customer - Thirteen

Customer is a production duo consisting of childhood friends Alan Fitzpatrick and Dave Robertson, better known by his stage name Reset Robot. ‘Thirteen’ marks Fitzpatrick and Robertson’s third release as Customer and first on mobilee after a couple releases on their own label, Whistleblower Records, in 2014 and 2015. The two-track EP is exactly what you would expect from a collaboration of this magnitude. ‘Thirteen’, the title track and A-side of the release, particularly impresses as a grungy, driving warehouse tune of epic proportions. When the track breaks down and they drop the bass out to let those synths ring, one cannot help but feel the raw energy that Fitzpatrick and Robertson have tapped into with this one. Individually they have released on a wide range of labels including Cocoon, Last Night On Earth, and Suara. Fitzpatrick is known by many as one of the biggest names in techno. Reset Robot is widely acknowledged for his in-studio production prowess, having co-produced many of Drumcode’s biggest tracks. Together, Customer is locked in for their mobilee artist debut the Fact Music Pool party on June 16 during Off Week in Barcelona and it is sure to be magical.On another note, thanks again to everyone who made it out to the Expand show this past weekend!
