Track of the Day: Catz 'n Dogz - Get It Right (Claude VonStroke Remix)

We were very excited to get a promo of this track a few weeks ago and now we can officially talk about the release.Catz n Dogz are set to release a massive album next month called 'Basic Colour Theory' on their label Pets and to kick things off they've release the first single 'Get It Right' from it along with a bass laden remix from Claude VonStroke.

The original version of this tune is a slow grooving deep house tune with a lovely rumbling bassline that is reminiscent of of early downtempo DnB with a sick jazz sample that pokes through every so often. Claude VonStroke revisits this track and puts his trademark. The bass guitar riff in this track drew me in immediately, with its simple, bouncy groove. It has an awesome progression to it when soloed out and sits nicely under the drum rhythm during the rest of the song.The track opens up with a fluttering keyboard line that has a very soothing sensibility and provides a brightness to the deeper, sultry elements of the composition.
