Today we have one from a new project out of Brazil called TERR. TERR is back on Hotflush Recordings with another massive release with her latest ‘Misantropicalia EP’. This marks her second release on Scuba’s imprint. The new EP’s title track, ‘Misantropicalia’, brings us more of the hard hitting electro sound that she is becoming known for. ‘Misantropicalia’ is a high energy banger built around a guitar lick that gives the tune an Italo disco vibe. Caldellas began her lifelong journey through music playing the piano and singing as a child. She found electronic music as teen, crediting acts like Kraftwerk, Juan Atkins, and Atom TM as major sources of inspiration. Caldellas began producing electronic music in 2006 and finally emerged on the scene in 2011 as part of Digitaria. Compared to Digitaria, TERR has its own distinct sound. In a recent interview with Kaltblut Magazine Caldellas called TERR “A bit harder, more direct and less ‘romantic’” than Digitaria. Caldellas is also working on a live set to bring to the circuit in the not too distant future so stay tuned!Thanks again to everyone who made it out to the impromptu Stuff & Things BBQ yesterday!
