Track of the Day: Sable Sheep - 'Fallen Lead Showers'
Sable Sheep - 'Fallen Lead Showers'
We have Brooks & Millar back in the studio this week. We will be featuring their selections for the Track of the Day all this week as well as bringing you another guest mix from them tomorrow.Starting off the week we have a track from German producer Sable Sheep. A relatively newcomer to the scene. He has been gradually making a name for himself in the techno community over the last 2 years. With roots steeped in metal (he also has a metal band project) and Hip-Hop he has said in a previous interview that one of his favorite artists is Slipknot and that much of his inspiration comes from their music as well as his love of Hip-Hop. In a very short amount of time he has gone from a relatively unknown producer to getting signed by the Moon Harbour booking agency releasing tracks on Defected and most recently Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich's label Desolat who have been extremely supportive of his efforts. He has a new track 'Paranoidal' that is releasing today on Desolat which you can go check out here as well'Fallen Lead Showers' was off his first EP 'Vagabond From Hell' with Desloat which was released around the middle of last year and was originally only available on vinyl. It's nice to see that there are still a few artists out there that still really enjoy and appreciate the art of using vinyl. The track itself is a classic minimal techno track which morphs into sort tribal take on a Notorious B.I.G.'s tune. A solid selection of percussion elements that are perfectly arranged that give way to the classic Biggie samples he has taken from 'Machine Gun Funk'. Well be keeping an eye on what the future holds for this promising young producer.Checkout this track and others on Brooks & Millar's Guest Mix:Enjoy,PZB
