Branded James - Balboa

Branded James unearths a sound deep within the jungle and delivers it to the concrete masses in the form of 'Balboa'. From the outset we are met with a delicate but purposeful composition of percussions that have clearly been arranged and reworked to perfection. An echoing vocal beckons to us as the track begins to take form and a mirage of tropical flora and fauna begin to emerge beneath the cracks of concrete. An organic growth and manifestation takes place as we travel deeper into the damp darkness to discover the source of this enigmatic sound. We are eventually met with a pleasant uplifting collection of fluttering synths and vocal loops that reassure us that we have not been let astray. If I could imaging the this track in it's purest visual form, then what I have surmised above is a reflection of that. Although this track did not make it into Branded James' latest mix we sure as sh#! weren't going to miss an opportunity to talk about it! Make no mistake my musing about the track above should not take away from the sheer power that erupts from this track on a proper sounds system (tried and tested...I promise).
