Jet Stream - Kaiserdisco

It wasn't my intention this week though after realizing there were several connections to Kaiserdisco and the music that they have either produced themselves or have had a hand in distributing entwined throughout this weeks mix, this week has kind of become Kaiserdisco Week. Today we will focus on this German duo and one of their latest releases. 'Jet Stream' is one of two new tracks on their Raw imprint of the KD Record label. An uplifting bit of music with its thumping rhythm and ethereal synths that bounce along in a fun sort of call and response manner. Kind of reminds me of those spaceships in 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'.

Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck are the members that make up Kaiserdisco. After 10 years of working alone the two came together in 2008 to start the group. Starting off with almost immediate acclaim the two began releasing music on powerhouse labels such as Drumcode, 100% Pure and Kling Klong. Combine that with their impeccable live performance and you have the beginnings of a legendary musical act. Since 2008 these two have gone on to create some of the most cutting edge and inspiring techno and tech-house in dance music. Only recently as of 2012-2013 has the rest of the world caught on to what they are doing. In addition to their music making skills which they have shown they are quite capable of doing. They are also captains of an ever expanding record label entitled KD Music. The label has been an opportunity for them to hold true to what they love and provide a platform to share the music that they love. Bottom line here is these guys love their music and it shows in the way they present it with such passion. If you are just discovering Kaiserdisco for the first time do yourself a favor and peruse through their catalog on Soundcloud. You will not be disappointed.
