Track of the Day feat. Avon Stringer and Boski & Morri

It's a short week and we're glad its already Wednesday. Today we're featuring to very different but awesome tunes from Aussie duo Avon Stringer and a cool bootleg by Boski & Morri.

Tell You No Lie - Avon Stringer

Being big fans of The Wire we were immediately intrigued to know more about this Sydney based duo. Jeremy Joshua & Matt Nugent have been on quite the tear these last few years pushing out reworks from big names like RUFUS and Yolanda Be Cool. They're still on the up and we're sure to see many more dancefloor house jams coming from them soon. "Tell You No Lie" really hits home with traditional house beats and a simple but powerful vocal loop. The bridge has some nice rattling snares and a cool vocal cuts that transition smoothly back into the original material of the song.

Timba (Boski & Morri Bootleg) - Awa Band

This track kicks off with an deep house style synth and cool cowbell pattern. Uncertain as to where the track will take us, we are eventually presented with a sexy vocal and more electro style stabs. Originally released in 2005 as a radio edit, the song gained prominence in 2000 when Defected released a double sided vinyl stacked full of amazing mixes and edits of the song. Full Intention's rework is probably the most notable version that still get's a lot of airplay today. Not much could be found on Boski's counterpart Morri but the former is a London based producer that has released a few works of his own and seems to really enjoy the combination 909 high hats and dark beats.Enjoy,LAMP
