Track of the Day: Bruno Furlan - 'Catraca'
Bruno Furlan - 'Catraca'
Today is probably a pretty exciting day if your name is Bruno Furlan. Why is that you might be asking and maybe an even better question is who is Bruno Furlan? I was asking myself that same question a few weeks ago when I was going through the new sampler from Dirtybird Records and came across his name. He has a single titled 'Blow Minutes' which is officialy dropping today on the Birdhouse Drip for those of you who are subscribers. The rest of us will have to wait a few more days for the wide release to the general public on the 27th. We will definitely be keeping an eye on this young up and comer. If I did my math correctly this up and coming producer, from Sao Palo Brazil, just recently celebrated his 20th birthday.Todays track of the day, 'Catraca', which is also available as a free download has some really interesting pieces to it. In particular what stands out to me is the different synth elements. There is this trippy robot sound in synthline that has some sick effecting and modulation thrown on it that I get a kick out of. Not to mention a phat sawtooth baseline that has me shaking in my desk chair pretty hard right now. They have a real warm analog feel to them and are modulated continually throughout the track keeping things fresh and interesting. Im curious now what kind of gear Mr. Furlan is getting down with in his studio. He's got bunch of other stuff on his soundcloud page. Go give some of it a listen when you get a chance. Gonna be delving much deeper into this Brazilians music career for sure. Enjoy and well see you back here again on MondayCheck out the tune and others from our LAMP Weekly Mix #55 featuring Jacob Millar:Enjoy,PZB
