Track of the Day: 'Tru Groove' - Alex Harrington

Its been a week of Nu Disco and Future House here at LAMP. Keeping the boogie days and nights going today is an original from our guest mix artist Alex Harrington. Starting things off with a classic house groove the track gets things flowing along with a whimsical piano line. Not long after comes a funky vocal sample and punchy bass line which really makes the track move. I especially like the breakdowns where he adds sort of a wavy aquatic sounding effect with a hint of xylophone on the front of the notes to the piano line. Its somewhat reminiscent of the times when I was playing Mario Bros. in some of the underwater levels. When it drops and all of the elements are working in harmony together this track really comes alive. Perfect for those late afternoon dance sessions on the beach or by the pool. Pretty much perfect for just about any situation you might want to do some booty shakin'. Speaking of which if you have yet to listen to our weekly mix from Mr. Harrington make sure to do so below.
