Track of the Day: Trikk - Functional

Found a new one from Pets Recordings for you all today. From Portugal native and London based producer Trikk comes two new tracks for the label one being today's focus 'Functional'. The track takes on a very 'Blade Runner' feel to it as the groove drives away in an almost industrial fashion. Taking on a very progressive tone as more and more elements jump into the mix. Long drawn out pads and pumping synths are the perfect compliment to this beast of a track that basically just drives away at your musical soul for a solid six minutes and forty seven seconds.This is the first I have come across Trikk who currently resides in London. The Portugal native has been exploring his musical prowess for the last few years and found success with labels like Pets, Hotflush, and Man Make Music. I spent a little time going through some of the music on his SoundCloud and found myself being very into what I was hearing. Lots of big techy bass lines and some pretty sick techno and tech house grooves to add to my collection. Make sure to check it out if you like what you are hearing.
