Track of the Day: Solardo - Some Time
Track of the Day: Solardo - Some Time (Original Mix)
Was going through some of the newer tracks I've picked up in the last couple days and came across this new one from Solardo for Snatch Records. It is hard for me to describe the joy my ears relate to the rest of my body when I hear me some good Acid House. From the opening Kick and percs I was immediately drawn in. Things get interesting about thirty seconds in as an industrial sounding effect works in the back ground the simple but highly effective main vocal works its way in. Quickly after that the main bass line kicks in and really kicks the track into high gear, with a real classic round feel to it bouncing up and down the scale its hard not to catch myself doing the same while I'm sitting here writing this. The fun part begins right around 3:40 into the track. Going into a full on Acid breakdown before masterfully dropping back into the main bass line and re-using the acid synth line periodically throughout the rest of the track. Absolutely love this track from head to toe.Solardo is a new blip on my radar this last couple of months. With releases like the one above and our track of the day it is pretty easy to tell why we had to feature them on the blog. Consisting of UK based producers Mark Richards (MRK1) and James Elliot the duo appears to have recently come together within the last year to join forces and a force they have become. These two have had a slew of new releases in the last month and all of them are top notch tracks just dying to help fill a dance floor somewhere in the world. Their release from VIVa last moth was what originally turned me on to them and I'm adding as many of their tracks to my library as I possibly can. They seem to be putting out new music on a pace that is break neck right now. From Madtech to VIVa and the EP from Snatch which today's track of the day is just one of four. Jump into their SoundCloud and check out more of their stuff if you like what you are hearing so far. Pretty much can guarantee I'll be dropping some of this at the degrade.la warehouse party this Saturday. Enjoy. We have an awesome guest mix from Australian producer Somersault for you to check out this week as well so make sure to hit the play button on that below!
