Track of the Day: Tommy Vercetti - I Miss You
Tommy Vercetti - I Miss You
'I Miss You' by Tommy Vercetti is a guaranteed crowd pleaser with an energetic piano layer charging through a well-crafted, driving dance beat. The track's chord progression is downright beautiful and combines perfectly with the powerful female vocal. Structurally the track is artfully composed with timely transitions, soft builds, and subtle percussion swings to provide variety through 7 minutes of pure bliss. The crisp and clean mix of the piano track is noteworthy as it is not only the backbone of the song's groove but (due to the track's relative and intentional simplicity) each keystroke can be easily discerned and thus must be executed to perfection as is the case here. Epic can be a word that gets easily tossed around music reviews, but there are a few tracks that warrant that description and Vercetti's piano anthem falls nothing short of that.Check out his latest EP 'Don't Understand' out via Hach Records:Tom Cox aka Tommy Vercetti is a 21 year old producer from the UK that is having his way with people in 2015. It's clear through his productions that his father's influence (a DJ himself) has permeated into the young producers choice of sound and style. Already labeled as one of Eton Messy's 'Top 5 to watch', there seems little that Vercetti has yet to check off his list as a rising talent in the house scene. An inbox full of remix requests, a host of successful releases and the watchful eye of the industry's leading minds and ears (see Tensnake, Josh Butler, CVS, and Route 94) reveal that the ingredients are all present and a seemingly clear road map lies ahead for the remainder of the year. My personal excitement regarding this young ripper is his diversity and underlying love for UK Garage and Bass. While today's track review clearly illustrates his knowledge of more classic sounds a whole host of heavier and deeper releases dominate Vercetti's profile and demonstrate a wide range of production skills ready to be released to the masses. If one Free Download wasn't enough from Vercetti, here's a whole host of others to whet your appetite:Listen to this and other #trackoftheday reviews from the latest #weeklymix by yours truly:Enjoy,MR PUZL
