Track of the Day: Thomas Schumacher & Caitlin - I Won't Run (Denite Remix)
Thomas Schumacher & Caitlin - I Wont Run (Denite Remix)
Denite's rework of "I Won't Run" by Thomas Schumacher is a deep melodic journey reassembling the original into a dynamic journey of shifting sand dunes and dreamy reverberating hallways. The incorporation of consistent percussive elements from the outset distinguishes this remix well from the original's longer introduction and build providing a more DJ friendly interpretation. A soft rumbling bass line and kick combination further envelop the track into a comparatively deeper spectrum than the original. Dry shakers pan nicely with a gated clap that provide a pleasant respite during the breakdowns allow your ears to recover before returning to the track's core groove. Among the collection of remixes released on Noir this is certainly one of our favorites. This music video produced and directed by Andreas Miro of the original track is engaging and pleasantly minimal:Also grab this Free Download remix of SOHN's 'The Wheel':Denite aka Gari Marcos is a Spanish deep and tech house producer currently based in Berlin. The electronic sounds of the early 90's sparked his interest in producing and DJ'ing while the later part of that decade's sounds (Nirvana, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Green Day) motivated his desire to learn and play guitar and drums in several bands. Drum & Bass began to factor into his sounds during a time spent living in Frankfurt drawing specifically on the more jazz and soulful spectrum of that genre. Time spent in Greece followed by a return to Spain saw a progression in his DJ'ing and production skills resulting in his first 12" release in 2010. A few years later he began creating his first live electronic sets fusing his childhood involvement as a band member with his more recent experiences behind the decks. Continuously reflecting on his past experiences Denite's productions focus heavily on building melodies and carefully crated percussive rhythms. Releases on famed labels such as Noir, Diynamic and Get Physical speak volumes to the quality of this talented producers catalogue. There is no lack of energy coming from Denite and somehow he even finds time to produce his own radio show on his label Redlight Music :Listen to this and other tracks reviewed from this week on Jacob Millar's latest guest mix for us!Enjoy,MR PUZL
