Track of the Day: Superlover - Love Machine

With only one more week until we reach our 100th weekly mix we have another amazing guest mix from San Francisco based Allen French. We will have more on him later this week with our release of his mix and interview by Mr. Puzl. Today we'll start you off with one of the tracks from his house infused mix. Fitting I am on a plane to New Orleans as I write this. Getting ready for a week filled with some classic Jazz and Soul music this track from Mother Recording and Superlover grabbed me right away with its funky guitar rift and catchy vocal samples. He has a way of giving the track a very raw tone capturing bits of crowd noise in the background making the track feel as if it was recorded live in a backwater bayou club. Searching for said club this week will let you know what I come across.Superlover just found a new permanent spot in my record library. That's how good this dude is, its also a testament to just how much amazing music and talent exists out there. While he may not be new to all of you he is definitely new on my radar. I even follow Mother Records and he still slipped past me. Not until his very recent release with Suara who I follow almost religiously did I first discover his amazing library of music (Thanks as always Big Cat). Making his home base in Germany like so many other amazing producers these days Superlover aka Ferri Borbás is the latest project of the former member of Kassette Boys which also consisted of Click|Click. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
