Track of the Day: Raffa FL - Works Pt. 1

A label that has gained my attention over the last year is Glasgow Underground. Their taste in tech house and techno is top notch and they have been releasing some of the finest material in that genre as of late. Take for example today's track of the day and an artist who has been featured with Glasgow Underground in the past Raffa FL. Works Pt. 1 is off his Emerald EP. His latest with the label which was released very recently. The booming kick and sub bass that start the track off give the track a bit of a misleading feel. Starting off with a chugging heavy bass ridden techno groove you might feel like you are headed for the rabbit hole. After about a minute or so Raffa FL softly introduces some very lively chord stabs that slowly gain intensity and take on a light and airy feel lifting us out of the rabbit whole we were once destined to. Flirting with the darkness at times only to lift us back out again. I love how he plays with our auditory senses moving different elements around within the mix. Especially at the 4 minute mark when he drops everything from the track but the chugging kick, then gradually bringing us back again full circle, before slowly taking us to the end of what can only be described as a fantastic journey of a track.So I cant honestly remember where I fist came across Raffa FL but this young (at least he looks pretty young in his pictures) producer from Milan is currently 100% on top of his game. I have been collecting his tune for at least the last year and a half across a whole spectrum of record labels. Many of which we are big fans of here at LAMP like Off Recordings, Lost Records, Material, Avotre, Go Deeva, Roush, & Definition:Music. That is not all of it either. His tracks have been getting support across the globe and he is regularly touring as well as holding things down in his home land of Italy. The dude is pushing out tracks pretty quickly so make sure to keep an eye on him. He is a machine when is comes to releasing quality music on the regular.
