Track of the Day: Lee Van Dowski - Elle

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/239284547" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]2015 treated Renaud Lewandowski, better known by his moniker Lee Van Dowski, very well.  The Mobilee staple released 17 tracks this year.  One of those tracks, '050504', was the #6 most charted track of 2015 on Resident Advisor and helped push Van Dowski into the top 100 Tech House producers on Beatport's tracker.  Van Dowski kicks off 2016 with the release of ‘Elle EP’, hitting the shelves on 1/8.  If ‘Elle’, the title track of the forthcoming EP, is a sign of things to come then 2016 stands to be an even bigger year than last for the Frenchman.  ‘Elle’ is a beautiful, complex track.  Van Dowski has mastered the art of building beats up then breaking them back down.  ‘Elle’ takes the listener on the full ride.  While it opens as a heavy hitting techno track it builds toward an ethereal melody and an understated chord progression on a traditional piano.  That deep, electro bass line and the airiness of the melody and rhythm come together to form a truly dynamic sound.  Another monster track from a monster producer.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/186346315" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Van Dowski has been bouncing around the electronic music scene for a long time.  Over the course of his astounding career Count Lee has been featured by a wide array of major labels and podcasts including Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, Data Transmission, Bedrock Records, Pulse Radio, Crosstown Rebels, and Suara.  From 2004 to 2013 he was a pillar of Luciano’s Cadenza crew.  But it wasn’t until he joined up with Anja Schneider and Ralf Kollmann over at Mobilee that he found the right home where he could freely explore his boundless creativity.Up next for Count Lee is the release of his full length 14 track album 'Cerca Trova', his first full length album in over a decade, due out this February.  It is sure to feature more of his signature sound that we have come to love.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/206525615" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Coming up tomorrow we are excited to present our first weekly guest mix of 2016.
