Track of the Day - Le Dom - Oazis

Happy Monday folks. We have an exciting weekend coming up. This Saturday on the rooftop of the Montalban Theater in Hollywood we will be going head to head with one of our favorite crews the Late Night Laggers(LNL). It will be a night to remember for sure. In anticipation for this evening two years in the making we invited Kid Business of the LNL crew to be our guest mix artist for the week. We will have much more on him and his mix tomorrow. While we wait for that I decided to go into the archives a few months back for the track of the day.I first came across Le Dom earlier this year when the Parisian artist put out his Oazis EP. I Instantly fell in love with the industrial and machine like drive to his tracks. Filled with huge rolling 808 kicks and raucous FX that feel as if they were sampled straight from the factory. I found this on his Soundcloud page and it was too good of a track description not to quote:"The title track is a persistent fluctuation between italo-robotic 4/4 EBM and comb-filtered, sub-heavy stab barrages. Vocoder interjections and feedback leads maintain maximum ebullience throughout. Borrowing its name from the rebranding of Volvic’s French original “Pulse” soft-drink, upon its purchase by Coca-Cola, it has two things we love – a backstory rife with corporate intrigue, and an appropriately effervescent and fruity aftertaste. And it’s a rare (and delightful) occurrence when we can describe a track this way both literally, and figuratively."Le Dom aka Domenico Bercelli has been at it for a few years according to what I have found scouring the internet. It seems though this year has been the break out year for him. With two other major media outlets XLR8R and Insomniac both featuring tracks from this album as well. He also recently released a new track on the [re]sources label which is free to download. Make sure to check out more from Le Dom and grab some of those free downloads there are a bunch.
