Now that everyone is back from the desert it is time to kick off another week of banging techno and house music. Today we have the title track from Landsky & Resmann’s latest EP ‘Fred The Ball’. Following the success of last year’s ‘Lava EP’, Landsky & Resmann dropped ‘Fred The Ball’ just last month on Resmann’s own Upon You Records. ‘Fred’, a frisky tech house tune, highlights both Landsky’s and Resmann’s broad range as producers with a grinding, circus-y bassline and a playful vocal track from Jonny Cruz. An interesting and effective departure from their usual heavier techno fare. Landsky & Resmann killed it with this one.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/189755712" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Landsky & Resmann is the brainchild of German DJ’s Martin Landsky and Marco Resmann. Landsky and Resmann both came up in Berlin during the 90’s in the city’s burgeoning techno and house scenes. Landsky was actually one of Resmann’s first supporters, releasing Resmann’s ‘Volkspark EP’ in 2002 on Landsky’s own Intim Recordings. Having worked together for so much time it should come as no surprise that the two have been able to establish such a clearly defined sound in just their second release as a tandem. On their own, both Landsky and Resmann have put together impressive resumes over the years. Resmann, of course, was one of the founding members of Pan-Pot back in the mid-2000’s while Landsky was a vital member of Steve Bug’s Poker Flat crew. Between the two of them Resmann and Landsky have released tracks for mobilee, Bedrock, Noir, Moon Harbour, and Trentmuelhe.
