Track of the Day: Johannes Albert - To Da Bonee
Johannes Albert - To Da Bonee
'To Da Bonee' by Johannes Albert exercises your unconscious with its dreamy piano licks soothing kicks and a delightful high hat hits that are raw in nature but not overbearing. This sample laden tune is stripped down to the basics and does not attempt to be more than that. Its soft kicks that seem almost intentionally weak and varying arrangements make this song feel more experimental than polished for the masses, and by no means is that a bad thing. H.A.N.S. stands for 'H-ouse A-int N-othing S-erious' and the playful nature of the song and its producer reflect this sentiment. In his own notes Johannes suggests influences from early Paul Jacobs and late releases by BCC Music founded by legendary Berlin duo Dole & Kam.I love this D.I.Y. music video that Johannes' label Frank Music put out for the track, it really sums up the mood that Johannes was aiming for in its poetic simplicity.:Berlin based producer Johannes Albert is still building a reputation for himself in the public eye but has already recorded and released a healthy collection of tracks to set him off in the right direction. At the ripe age of 14 and with no access to clubs he would spend most of his time at a local record store . His initial introduction to house began with 90s classics, an infatuation with the excessive British sampling, French filtering and afro beats and drums. His infatuation with vinyl would serve as an early moniker for his career before transitioning to his proper name. Already influencing a variety of other artists in his native Franconia (southern region of Germany), he established Frank Music and has begun releasing an inspiring collection of tracks including some of his own. This second volume of H.A.N.S. is diverse in it's movement and pace but if you were already a fan you will not be disappointed.Check out the full Preview of 'The H.A.N.S.
