Jessie Ware - Champagne Kisses (TCTS Remix)

When Champagne Kisses came out last year it was only a matter of time before we began to see all manner of remixes popping up on Soundcloud. It wasn't until the TCTS remix dropped a few months ago that our ears perked up. Fortunately for us it made it into Curt Reynolds' tracklist for their Guest Mix and we decided to review it! This remix oozes dancefloor vibes with its 4 to the floor beats and sensual piano riffs. Jessie's voice echoes over the top of a pounding kick in the opening bars, and builds nicely into a 90's style house piano loop. An open bottom drum section sits nicely underneath as the smooth basslines takes over after the chorus. Obviously Jessie's voice is in command throughout the track and it's elevated by the wonderful arrangement of accompanying layers that TCTS has laid out before us. I hate to sound repetitive but that piano creates such an incredible groove that makes it very difficult to stay in your chair and not get up and dance around.Manchester native TCTS has a had quite a bit to be proud of since his debut EP release 'Hands'. Currently based in London the producer has clearly been fortunate to be in proximity to some phenomenal rising vocal stars and seems to pluck them at just the right moment. His 'Games' release saw the display of powerful raw talent from both K Stewart and Sam Sure. The dynamic differences between both tracks highlighting singers from the EP showed a fantastic range and skill in O'Neil's production abilities and ear for finding just the right groove to suit the vocal artist. His latest release 'Body' pairs the lighthearted dance single 'For Life' with a more traditional Deep House tune in 'Coupe De Ville' featuring a hometown partnership with producer Aniff Akinola who's most known for his work in Backyard Dog and their UK Char topper 'Baddest Ruffest'.
