Jadakiss - Incarcerated Scarfaces

Jadakiss drops knowledge with his latest freestyle layered over some fierce east coast beats in his rendition of 'Incarcerated Scarfaces'. If you're not familiar with the sample, Jadakiss digs back to one of my favorite tunes from Raekwon off of his legendary '95 album 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx' and lays down his raw flow over top. The detuned piano lick is synonymous with the Wu-Tang style and suited perfectly for Jadakiss' gritty vocal chops. Raspy snares, and crunchy hi-hats add bite to the rappers cutting tongue and set the tempo for a dirty groove that made the original a fan favorite. The remake is all part of the rappers dedication to providing a new freestyle every Friday morning for his fans and the Hip-Hop community as a whole. I hope the new crop are taking notes because a lyricist like this doesn't come through the airwaves very often.Respect to the Chef, Raekwon:For those that don't know or weren't born yet here's a brief history lesson on Jason Phillips aka Jadakiss. At age 16 'Kiss was making his lyrical abilities known and got picked up by Ruff Ryders (pre-label days) after being spotted at a freestyle competition. This early incubation period at the management company would be the catalyst for his career. A few years into his days at RR, he formed a group called the Warlocks (later to be knows simply as The LOX) with a young Sheek Louch and Styles P. Bad Boy Entertainment took interest and signed the group while Biggie himself brought Jadakiss under his wing, molding him into one of the most respected rappers in the industry. To date 'Why' was his most successful hit and saw his old friend Style P, Nas and Common all jump in on a remixed version. The track is also particularly famous in the media for lyrics like "Why did Bush knock down the towers?" and a sign in the music video reading "Buck Fush" that prompted the track to be banned from several radio stations and the lyrics in question to be bleeped out of other broadcasts.Get Educated:40 Bars Of TerrorCheckmate (50 Cent diss)Top 5 Dead Or Alive Feat.
