Track of the Day feat. The Knife/ J.Phlip + Mak & Pasteman

Can you guys believe its June already? Holy crap this year is flying by. Its been a great one so far looking back on it. Started a great new project with my buddy Jake making some great tunes which we have been teasing you guys with. Soon we will be releasing some of it along with other new stuff Im excited to share with you all. Got to play alongside some great artist like Jerome LOL, Justin Jay and Plastic Plates. Also taking over the Gallery at Exchange with my buddy Modus for Inception with Adam Beyer! I have been having a lot of fun sharing the weekly mixes with you along with Mr. Puzl and our other guest who have contributed to the blog. We have much more in store for you for the rest of the year so lets stop wasting time and get to today's tracksTrack of the Day #1 The Knife -- Without You My Life Would Be Boring (J Phlip remix)The Knife is a group that I have been listening to for quite a while now. At least 10 years I would say. The duo out of Sweden has been responsible for several hits over the years, such as "Hearbeats" and "We Share Our Mother Health". Check em out if your not familiar. They have put most of their music out on their label Rabid Records. When I saw that they had teamed up with one of my favs J.Phlip I knew I would be putting this up here. I just got to see J. Phlip last weekend on the Woogie stage at Lightning in a Bottle. She was fantastic and it was great to finally get to see her play live. Hope I get to see her again soon.Track of the Day #2 Mak & Pasteman -- Dirt DigglerOh Mak & Pasteman you always know how to come through. Honestly I don't think these guys can do anything wrong. This new release "Dirk Diggler" is so f'ing sexy!! The track starts off with a nice little melody and vocal that sort of drifts in and out through the intro. Then at about 1:40 into the song it drops into this bass laden mixture of break beat, and techno which along with the sexy ass vocal the carries through till the end. These guys are so flipping talented. I would love to pick their brains in the studio someday!I am also excited to be able to team up with Risky Vision who is bringing in a huge night of music. Risky Vision at Echoplex will be June 20th w/ Techno legend KEVIN SAUNDERSON + Smart bar GM THE BLACK MADONNA and Lights Down Low’s SLEAZEMORE.
