'Down to Earth' (Wankelmut Remix) - Flight Facilities

Good morning and a happy Monday to you all. PZB back on the decks this week and to start things off this week I have the Wankelmut remix of Flight Facilities 'Down To Earth'. Definitely have been waiting for this remix pack for the last couple of months and happy to say it was finally released a little over a week ago. Flight Facilities sure do know what's up when it comes to creating a solid summer vibe and groove with their tracks. "Down To Earth' which was originally released late last year is another one of those fun summer anthems they are known for. Coming in and giving it a bit of that Berlin techno feel to it is Wankelmut. Compared to the original which is full of disco and funk, Wankelmut's version is a bit more subdued. It still has all of the great synths and vocal elements that make the original amazing but rearranged in a manner of style I have likened to calling living room techno. It's not deep house, nor is it techno or house but somewhere in between. The kind of music you can put on when you are relaxing with some friends on a lazy Sunday or when its 7am and the sun is coming up in the desert and you just don't want to stop dancing.I don't really know much about Wankelmut other than he is from Berlin and he makes some pretty rad music. He first popped onto mine and just about everyone else radar back in 2011 when he dropped his bootleg remix of Asaf Avidan's 'Reckoning Song / One day' which pretty much blew up.Since then he has thrown together a couple compilations for Get Physical Recordings and been playing pretty much all over the world. His music is pretty rad and he has tons of mixes and some free downloads on his SoundCloud page so make sure to check that out as well.Looking forward to having a new mix of my own for you all this week.
