Track of the Day: 'Detroit' - Hector Couto
What's up party people. Hope you all had an amazing weekend. If you were in So Cal there was an absolute plenitude of great music events from Splash House In Palm Springs to the Oasis Festival down in San Diego as well as U.R. Art in Santa Monica and all the pool parties in LA and in between. We have a great guest mix coming to you this week from LA based Durante. More on that tomorrow. Today however we have a new track for you from Defected Records and Hector Couto. Released last week 'Detroit' is exactly what you might expect coming from the Defected label and such a well seasoned producer such as Mr. Couto. With 'Detroit' it feels as though Hector transported himself back to the 80's/90's and got himself a personal lesson from Belleville Three himself. A pure house record that examines its namesake and reminds us that this is what house and techno are all about. Not sure why it has teken so long to feature him here but Hector Couto is someone who have been following for quite some time now. The Spanish born producer has been a favorite since I discovered some of his first releases with Suara back in 2010/11. In addition to Suara, Hector who is basically a record producing machine, has had releases on just about every prominent house/ techno label that exists. He has releases on Moon Harbour, 100% Pure, Get Physical, Moda Black, and Hot Creations just to name a few. Quite simply Hector Couto is one of the best and most consistent producers of quality dance music that exist in this world today. Check out his Soundcloud page and hear what I'm talking about. All of the tracks on his page are his own and I strong recommend just hitting play at the top and going through the catalog. It is that good! It will definitely help you through your work day! Here are a few more from Hector CoutoSpeaking of the Belleville Three here is a little Kevin Saunderson/ Inner City Remix from Hector Couto
