Track of the Day: Climbers - Make Love

Glasgow Underground has been on quite the tear recently with a whole ton of new releases. One of our favorite house labels out there, they consistently bring their listeners quality house and tech house tunes from some of the best producers on the planet. One of their latest releases comes the group Climbers who like the label they are releasing on for the last 5 years have consistently provided their fans with some pure smashing house. This latest EP has two originals and 2 remixes from boss Kevin McKay. 'Make Love' is our track of the day. A jackin' house groove gradually builds itself up with a soft kick, and a multitude of symbol rides, hits and crashes, driven by a hollowed out and bouncy bass line. A classic house organ with a bit of modulation jumps into the mix just before the simple but elegant vocal loop drops in. When it all comes together you get a superior house track with a classic feel that will get just about anyone dancing in no time flat.Climbers are basically local, sort of. The duo of Jay Blakk and Kiko Deal made a name for themselves when they came together in 2011. With several years of experience individually the two struck a chord with several top dj's across the globe who started playing their tunes at clubs and festivals. The two who originate from Mexicali, Mexico (right off the border in the middle of Cali and Baja) made a name for themselves all across Europe before coming home and doing the same in Central, South and North America. Consistently pumping out tunes for labels like Bunny Tiger, Nervous, Twin Turbo, and Get Physical just naming a few. You can surely find them in Tulum every January and they are frequently sought after across the globe at festivals and clubs alike. Sadly one half of Climbers was tragically lost in an accident in August of this year. Kiko Deal was greatly loved and his loss was a massive shock to the music community. It appears as if Jay Blakk is carrying on for the both of them. I cant be certain if these tracks were finished before or after his passing, regardless I am hoping that we can continue to get great new tracks like the two we just got for many years to come. I bet Kiko would approve. Make sure to give some more of their music a listen down below. Enjoy and be safe out there this weekend it's going to be a wild one.
