Track of the Day: Acumen - Distance Fatale

Ein2 a sub-label to Einmusika one of the finest labels for music on the planet has been on fire lately. I have my favorite labels of course but rarely does it happen where literally every release for the past 6 month is absolute genius. I am talking ever track on every EP for the last 6 months and beyond. Our other editor Mike Grant recently talked to you all about the Hidden Empire remix of "Vona" from Microtrauma, and I wanted to take a minute and talk about Acumen's EP and our Track of the Day "Distance Fatale". Lately I seem to find myself gravitating towards music that is uplifting and heartwarming. It might sound a little funny but that toasty low rumbling saw-wave synth combined with the punchy kick and those soft keys got me nice and warmed up real quick. It only gets better from there as Acumen begins to add layer upon layer of complexity to the track while still keeping the main original theme at the for-front of the entire track, taking us on a beautiful 8 minute journey that you almost never want to end.
