Track of the Day: I Wanna Get To Know You Better (Superprince Edit)

Following the same vain of classic house music from yesterday, we have this edit of "I Wanna Get To Know You Better", a classic house tune from Ed "The Red" & Nancy Kay Goltzman. This morning I came across this in my SoundCloud feed as a result of a Tensnake repost. The Philadelphia duo Superprince responsible for the edit were new to me so I dove into their feed and got acquainted. The edit itself is just that, a fresh rework of the original that makes it a little more club friendly but in actuality strays very little from the original. Thats not a bad thing either as this track was way ahead of its time. Originally released in 1989 on Jump Street Records, Superprince do a great job of holding true to the source material with that same Beverly Hills Cop style arp along with those classic disco strings and piano stabs. Not sure who the vocal credits go to but the game changer on this track are the sexy vocals both male and female.While I am just discovering this duo it is safe to say that I will be following what the are doing much more closely now that I am aware. Looking through their stream I found this great remix that the did a couple years back for our friends at Rock It Science Labs among many other great releases from the likes of Razor-n-Tape, Universal Cave and more.
