Track of the Day: 'Do That Two (Yes Baby)' by The Martinez Brothers

For our last post of 2014 we have a brand new one from The Martinez Brothers. Comprised of Steve & Christian Martinez this duo are a force to be reckoned with in the underground house scene. Putting together epic sets for the likes of Boiler Room and many other places across the globe. This year alone the guys have been all over Europe and the Americas, they’ve premiered in Australia, and have plans for a tour of Asia. They have gained more mainstream popularity with their smash hit remix of Green Velvet's "Bigger Than Prince". Which was arguably the biggest tune of the year in 2013. These guys have been a staple in Ibiza every summer going back to 2011, and have recently burst into the world of fashion when they performed in Paris for Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy Menswear and Womenswear Fall / Winter 2014 /15 collections. This year they also saw the launch of their own record label Cuttin' Headz which they have used to launch their latest EP Tree Town which has three tracks including todays track of the day 'Do That Two (Yes Baby)'.One of the things I love about these guys and especially with this track is their use of percussion. They have this special ability to create these fantastic grooves with all of the drum parts that they use. Almost the entire track is made up of percussive elements with a just a few little sound effects and vocal elements and yet the track is full of life and energy and has that perfect groove to keep you dancing all night long.
