Soul Station (Moog Line) - Sidney Charles

A powerful rework of his original, Sidney Charles' "Soul Station" (Moog Line) has a classic groove with vocals to captivate your soul. The track opens up with a filtered drum which, after a few bars, opens up to let the kick breathe with a nice punchy feel. The bass groove is presented in the form of an unmistakeable Moog synth rising nicely above the floor of the track. Preaching vocals begin echoing in and, once firmly established, they take over with a commanding presence that encourages the listener's soul to get up and dance. A smooth and steady percussion rhythm underlines the classic feel to "Soul Station" and does not let up from start to finish; a true dance floor gem.The track is part of an EP called "Jack On The Rocks" which features a remix of the original by his good friend Santé as well as the self titled single "Jack On The Rocks":In only his 3rd year as a producer Sidney Charles has been extremely busy and already achieved a great deal in such a short time. He has released tracks on established labels such as Moda Black, OFF, Suara, VIVa, AVOTRE all with a very intentional underground feel. Sidney seems to be content to live in the underground scene and refuses to be blinded by the short lived aspirations of hitting mainstream status or playing large arena style venues. Sidney Charles is known to take his time in the studio to ensure his sound is dialed in without sacrificing quality to meet deadlines. Sidney also has a heavy DJ schedule and is A&R for the Berlin imprint AVOTRE. It seems as though with all of his interests he is still focused on producing a full album, collaborating with Darius Syrossian on a upcoming project and taking mental notes for plans to start his own label.Today we're also very excited to have Shark Faicol in the studio this week as our special guest. This LA based DJ has some awesome hand picked tracks for this week to share with you all. We're looking forward to his #weeklymix dropping this Friday. So for now, check out his latest track in collaboration with his studio partner Modus:Enjoy,MR PUZL
