Do You Mind - Christian Nielsen

Christian Nielsen's "Do You Mind" is a sultry blend of deep synths and tech house percussions garnished with sweet, soulful vocals. Snappy claps and tambourine stabs open this track off and, shortly after, they are picked up by a wave of thumping kicks and a rising fade into our first foray into the chorus. The track does well to hold back on revealing any heavy drops and initially introduces the bass line groove subtly. It is reunited with that wonderfully full kick heard earlier on to drivef the tempo through. The effortless pull and push of each layer of sound is delightfully playful and provides a nice variety of jump off points and breakdowns. It's no surprise why this track made #3 on the Beatport Tech House charts.Chris Minus aka Christian Nielsen is a Danish based producer who has established his career releasing on well respected labels such as on PLay It Down (Jesse Rose), DTD, and 8bit. He draws his inspirations from the likes of greats such as Kerri Chandler, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann and Frankie Knuckles. In his current state Christian Nielsen's style seems to cross between classic deep grooves and tight percussion patterns of modern tech house breaks. His first collab with Noir on “Sleep No More”, released on Neurotraxx Deluxe, certainly reflected earlier styles of deep house with it's classic style piano chords.Be sure to grab this awesome rework of "Sound of Violence", Cassius's single off of his 2002 album Au Rêve, as a Free Download:Also love the video from the original:Enjoy,MR PUZL
