Move Your Body - Gene Farris

Move Your Body by Gene Farris is a sultry bass laden house track that whispers temptations to get sweaty on the dance floor. The track opens up with a kick, snare and high hat combo to set the bouncy tempo which is shortly after joined by ear whispers inviting the listener to join in on the fun. The bass line has a nice detuned reverb effect going on that adds to the hypnotic rhythm of the song.Gene Farris, a Chicago native, has long been an ambassador for the Chicago House scene. Having played in some of the legendary institutions (including a residency at Power House and the Boom Boom Room) in the early 90's Gene quickly made a name for himself. He's been fortunate to work on projects that have ended up on labels such as Defected, Relief Records, and Cajual with the likes of Cajmere, Sonny Fodera and more. This week we have Atlas Boda as our special guest and he'll be giving us some choice notes on the tracks he's picked for the week. Today's track really drew Atlas to it because of the "heavy bass mixed with the whisper of the vocalist". Stay tuned for a special Thanksgiving Guest Mix dropping on Friday, and also check out a sneak peak of Atlas Boda's unreleased track that will be featured in the mix:Enjoy,MR PUZL
