Track of the Day: Marc Houle - I Don't Want To Watch You Read

Happy Friday everyone. Another week down and time to get ready for the weekend. I am a little short on time so we will be keeping it straight and to the point today. There has been a lot of hype lately about the new show on Netflix 'Stanger Things'. One of the things everyone seem to be most excited about the show, besides the fact it is really good, is the music. Produced by a duo from Austin called Survive it is full of 80'synth style pop utilizing modern production techniques to keep it from being to cheezy cause we all know the 80's were full of cheeze. The final product was something that was pretty impressive. Going through my latest batch of music findings I came across this new track from techno producing legend Marc Houle. It immediately had me thinking of that soundtrack. Everything about this track screams 80's Synth Pop from the kick snare combo to the big sweeping pads and synths. Sharp stabbing synths dart in and out of the bass line keeping the track grooving and moving. Topping things off and locking in that overall vibe is a deep but sultry and romantic male vocal. It is a simple track in that there aren't that many different instruments but Houle deftly mixes and arranges them so well I cant help but want more. Which there is plenty more of so dig into Marc Houle and go watch Stranger Things if you haven't you will be glad you did.
