Track of the Day: Guy Mantzur, Roy Rosenfeld - Kruizer

This week flew by! Probably because there has just been an insane inundation of amazing techno lately. Listening to it all has kept me busy. Found within the pile of music this week was this new one from Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfeld from their Hidden Karisma EP they put together for Systematic Records. When it comes to techno for me it becomes all about the journey. A great song crafts a story and really takes the listener out of their head for a few minutes and off to some other place that only they can describe. Creating a unique experience while still connecting and bringing diverse groups of people together. 'Kruizer' is one of these tracks. I was drawn in right away by the plucky synth and whimsical groove. The booming kick and pads, in combination with the groove progressively build, adding more sounds and FX until this track becomes a beast. Wonky synths dart in and out as all of the instruments poke their way in one by one. As everything drops out and we get a little breather, it is just the calm before the storm. Ominous pads oscillate in the back ground as the main drop slowly builds itself back up. When it drops it hits like a ton of bricks in your chest. The bass is so crisp and the full combination of all of the pieces together is brought together smoothly and with so much power. The mix down and arrangement of this track is incredible. I couldnt help but leave it on repeat while writing this today. The rest of the EP is pretty spot on as well. Highly recommend diving into it.Today's track of the day comes from a couple of big names out of Israel, Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfeld. This is not their only collaboration either. Between the two of them you will find productions from just about every major underground and above ground techno label out there. Kompakt, Systematica, Lost & Found, Bedrock are just s few to get you started. They are constantly traveling as their style of music is in high demand across the globe. A style that is filled with deep melodies and smooth but highly energetic grooves to literally dance your nights away. A style that was very prominent for me after my discovery of John Digweed who was my first exposure to this particular brand of Techno. Words dont do much of their music justice so do yourself a favor and let your head get lost in their music. I put a few more sample from them below for you to check out. Also make sure to check out our guest mix from Christien Nielson is you haven't had a chance to yet. Have a wonderful weekend.
