Local LA producer Wilks and vocalist Vincent Coleman come together to produce a wonderful rework of the sultry release "Beast".Wilks put his stamp on this wonderful rework from the get go, injecting pace and enveloping us in a deep jungle vibe. Echoing vocal loops and rainforest style audio samples begin our slow rhythmic journey to unchartered areas where the "beast" roams free. Clean break beats layered with Coleman's vocals make up a solid bridge to the great jazz piano breakdown with airy filters and more vocal loops taking us right into the eye of the storm.I was first introduced to Vincent through his work with Vas Defrans during the recording of their Debut EP back in 2012. Since then this talented vocalist has accumulated a healthy archive of personal work. When I heard that Wilks would be working on a remix for him, I got all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Listening to the original work, you get an electric resonating production. Basic synth claps and vibrating bass lines are neatly intwined with soothing vocals and harmonic humming to create a simple put powerful arrangement.It's been a while since we've posted, and I'm back from my journeys to get us on track again! ;)Enjoy,MR PUZL
