Track of the Day: Darius Syrossian - What you Say

It has been a little over a year since we featured a track from house legend Darius Syrossian. Recently he released a new 3 track EP with 2 new Originals and a remix from Gorge & Homm. 'Andranik' is the title track and the one in which Gorge & Homm put their spin on. The other new original from Syrossian is 'What You Say'. Starting off with soft pad and punchy kick he wastes very little time introducing all of the percs one by one building a nice groove before smashing our faces off with a rumbling bass line. The way the bass line moves reminds me of a deep string bass plucking away in a smokey jazz bar. Add in a simple little vocal and some funky synth stabs here and there and Syrossian has put together a solid little jam that fits right at home in the club, warehouse, bar, festival or where ever else your butt might be shaking. As we found out when we first featured Syrossian he is a man of few printed words. He lets his music do the talking for him. He doesn't do bios and doesn't care if you want to read them. Apparently nobody reads them anyway. Hailing from the UK Syrossian has been gracing dance floors with his music for quite some time. Playing at just about every major club and festival in the UK and Europe and across the globe Syrossian is one of those artists that if you ask anyone in the house world and they will immediately be like "oh yeah that guy is a beast". On top of his busy production and touring schedule he has also found time to put together a pretty incredible mix series, Do Not Sleep Radio that he started this year which he has also parlayed into a party in Ibiza. I just saw a video of him at the Space Closing party in Ibiza and it looked absolutely insane. If you are not familiar with Darius Syrossian now is the perfect time to educate yourself. You will not be disappointed.Make sure to check out this weeks LAMP guest mix from DeepAura's Chris Hayden. Some serous ethereal vibes on this one.
