Aaron Snapes - 'Open'

Aaron Snapes delivers a forwarding thinking house tune full of wonderfully crafted sounds and beats with ghostly effect. Snapes composes a wonderful array of percussion stabs and pads to accompany a healthy dose of synth arrangements. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where this lies on the house spectrum, since we hear elements of acid, tech and straight deep house and we think that's a good thing. Lengthy builds and smooth drops are the name of the game; composed with precision and timed to perfection. The shimmering sound that floats in the background after the drop is, "like an elusive phantom that's calling to you but you can't quite make out what it says", muses Jacob Millar. This tunes come off of a new Various Artists album curated by Kry Wolf called DNA on his own label Food Music, and the label boss describes the new compilation project below."The first in the series, crafted by Kry Wolf, is a journey through the musical flavours and vibes that inspire Lewis and Bill to do what they do. Presented both in a DJ mix and as individual tracks, we’re proud to present an album full of exclusive material put together the best way we know how, featuring New York Transit Authority, Shadow Child with Friend Within and Doorly, Bodhi, Aaron Snapes, Waifs and Strays and brand new material from Kry Wolf themselves, including ‘No Trouble’, and the now official update of Rave Classic ‘Sweet Harmony’, with full blessing from Liquid and XL Recordings." - Food MusicCheck out the whole release here:You can find Aaron Snapes' productions aligning with a variety of popular Tech House labels such as Dirtybird, Perfect Driver and of course Food. The Leeds based producer has dabbled in the spectrum of electronic music for many years, but has certainly found his home within the house spectrum and is caring out his own piece amongst the masses one solid release after another. If the above wasn't enough music consumption for one day dive into Aaron Snapes' catalogue here:Check out the tune and others from our LAMP Weekly Mix #55 featuring Jacob Millar:Enjoy,MR PUZL
