LAMP Premiere: Rennie Foster - Crisis Actors [Moonlight Records]

We are excited to have an opportunity to share an artist with you today I have had great admiration for since I discovered his music about 6-7 years ago. Canadian producer Rennie Foster is an underground legend who has taken his skills all over the world. Tomorrow he is releasing his latest EP for Moonlight records Crisis Actors. It is one of two new originals from Foster combined with two remixes coming from fellow Canadians Matt Caine and Kloves. With 'Crisis Actors' Foster treats us to a late night warehouse groover that despite its call for people to wake up and think freely will wind up sending you into techno induced trance. A crunchy groove sets the tone as Foster builds up the pace with a series of stabs and claps with perfect amount of reverb to help them slice through the mix. Whispy moaning pads are gradually added adding to the dark late night warehouse vibes. It kinda feels like if the classic styles coming from Chicago, Detroit and New York in the late 80's and 90's had a baby it would sound something like this.Word on the street is Rennie is making a mix for us next week and we are looking forward to getting to know him a little better next week when he joins us for our weekly mix series here at LAMP.
