LAMP Premiere: Heliotype - Safe From Harm [Exploited Ghetto]
Well it is that time of year again, when massive amounts of people descend on the beautiful city of Miami. Our premiere today has some history with the beaches and clubs there not to mention pretty much every other club across the world. Heliotype one of the UK's fast rising producers drops this rework of 'Safe From Harm' just in time for Miami Music week and you can be sure it will be heard many times over the coming week and for good reason. The rich 303 style bassline and vibrant chords give it a deep disco vibe. Having the original vocalist from Narcotic Thrust provide a re-worked vocal adds to the track making it feel like I am hearing this song again for the first time. The original record made a huge impact on the scene back in the day. Eventually being signed directly by Pete Tong to his FFRR label after huge club support and topping both Buzz and Cool Cuts charts. I personally remember when this track came out it was getting played everywhere. I'd have to look to be certain but pretty sure I have this track on Vinyl.
